The government already seems to know a lot about Tom, don’t they?  What else can the government find out about you, if they don’t already know, thanks to this piece of legislation?

Err…pretty much anything they want.  They only need invoke section 215, the so-called “library” provision.  Of course, it includes more institutions than just libraries; in fact, any place of business, public or private, holding any tangible document about you is included.  The FBI just need to go to a FISA court and say that it’s to “help stop terrorism” and bingo!  They get access.  Oh, and the subpoenaed place can’t tell you about it.| MORE ›
