Via Hot Air, the sorta-crazy Florida pastor Terry Jones, who is best known for his burning of a Koran just weeks ago, was convicted of breach of peace by a Detroit court earlier this week. The jury found that Jones was likely to incite violence by way of his protesting:

At the start of Friday’s trial, prosecutors presented their arguments before the jury. They argued that a protest outside the mosque would pose a significant safety issue. They also argued that there is concern from authorities that someone may get hurt.

The violence of concern was not anything that would have been committed by Jones or associates, but by the members of the mosque he was to protest. Prosecutors were worried that the mosque members would get angry and create a mob, potentially hurting someone.MORE

There is an image of a door or gate in every mosque that shows believers where the ka’aba is – they all line up behind it and pray in its direction.MORE

Hot Air notices the publication of a poll showing that 67% of Catholics approve of the job President Obama is currently doing. The conservative blog’s AllahPundit argues that this once again shows that many Catholics do not adhere to the Church’s basic teachings. Catholic readers of HA respond angrily to the poll, arguing that these ‘Catholics’ who approve of Obama are not Catholics at all.MORE
