Conservatives used to criticize the media, and not just for its liberal bias.

There once was a vocal argument coming from the right — from culture war stalwarts like Bill Bennett — that the media’s focus on sex and violence coarsened our culture. They argued that when too much attention was given to someone who committed a crime or was of low morals, it risked turning them into a celebrity or an icon. The media catered to the lowest common denominator and brought everyone down into the mud with it. More importantly, the distraction prevented the public from being informed about important policy issues. There was a “dumbing down of America” going on.

Then came Fox News.

I’m growing increasingly concerned about the war in Libya. Truth be told, there’s little doubt in my mind that it’s time for Colonel Khadaffi to go. He truly is, as Reagan once succinctly put it, a “mad dog.” He has supported terrorists in the past and will undoubtedly do so again – if allowed to. On the other hand, the ‘rebels’ don’t exactly seem secular and democratic.MORE

Today in State of the Union with John King, former Bush-Cheney administration Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge had the audacity to mildly – very mildly – criticize conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.MORE

This is quite surprising:

A grassroots campaign that started in Seattle just two months ago has spread across the internet at cyber-speed. The result: hundreds of rallies in all 50 states today.MORE

On yesterday’s edition of CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward spoke about his recent trip to Afghanistan. His conclusion: there is no light at the end of the tunnel. At least, not in the near future.

CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and every other liberal media organization out there have desperately tried to convince Americans that the tea party protesters were Republican hacks who ignored President George W. Bush’s irresponsible behavior and who are now using recession to tar Democrats. Sadly for them, however, they are incorrect. The Tea Parties were bipartisan in nature:MORE
