What strikes me most about the “conservatives in crisis” articles that get published by America’s major newspapers, networks, websites, etc. every few hours, is that the authors seem to have a great time explaining to the public that the Republican Party is in disarray and why.

See for instance this article at ABC News. To summarize: nobody trusts conservative politicians any longer. They are either not fiscally conservative enough, or they are too conservative. Or both. Or neither, but then there is something else wrong with them. Oh, and conservative leaders have no idea how to turn this thing around.

Anybody else getting the impression that they just love this meme and will do everything in their power to keep it alive for weeks, possibly months to come? (more…)
