The Restoring Honor Rally yesterday brought thousands of people out to the Lincoln Memorial. I know that by the time I got there, there were people filling out the area beyond the treeline, and all the way up to the road. And if they weren’t all the way up to the Washington Monument, it was a close thing.

I’ll have a bit more of a meaty post up later at NewsReal Blog, but I just wanted to explain my position on Glenn Beck’s dream of taking back America via faith, hope, charity, and sacrifice.

In a word: yes. I do believe it’s possible, but not without work, and certainly not right away. It will take people recognizing that they can individually make a difference.

It might also take a little guidance. Beck says that guidance should come from God, but I can’t get behind that notion myself, seeing as how I’m an atheist. However, I believe even us folks can help reclaim America.| MORE ›
