And yet physician participation in the Medicaid program in my state is abysmally low. It seem like the rate is maybe 1 or 2 doctors per specialty or general practitioner per town. To get a dentist while on it, I had to go a town over. I was able to get a GP in town only because my mother and father had been with him for years.
