   CFN If you cant turn down people with a pre-existing condition people will wait until they are sick to buy the insurance which will send costs through the roof. That problem needs to be addressed. There can be a two year contestability period from when you buy the policy and we can have the government allow the insurance companies to write off 70% of the expense for people with pre-existing conditions. For those with catastrophic preexisting conditions they should get medicare. Medicare needs to change the way it delivers its service and payment. It can be fixed to be much more efficient, but doing so could mean partial privatization. Just a thought.
