Editor’s note. Please welcome a new author to RATA: Chris Queen (U.S.). Chris and I worked together at David Horowitz’s NewsReal Blog. I was so impressed with his writing that I asked him to join the team here when that blog was discontinued. Chris blogs at his own blog Random Thoughts From The Revolution. Follow him on Twitter here.

How many times have we heard it before? A leader — whether he or she be a politician, a business leader, a religious figure, or a parent — claims to hold up a certain value or expresses loyalty to one cause or another, only to betray that value or cause when the rubber meets the road. When it happens, we hear that leader (at that point, the word “leader” is used loosely) described as a “sellout.”

Dictionary.com defines a sellout as, “a person who betrays a cause, organization, or the like…”

After this week, Barack Obama can easily be called our first sellout president when it comes to American policy toward the Middle East.MORE

Senator Jim DeMint urged conservatives in Iowa yesterday to “get it right this time” with a Republican presidential nominee. Before choosing a favorite, however, voters should first “identify the right principles,” or so he said.MORE

On this day, I always think both where I was on September 11, and what this day means for the wider world.  I won’t go into that much for this post in this post except to say that it definitely gave us a greater understanding of what threats we face, and the fact that must face them.  However, in doing that, we must not forget what it is we’re fighting for.

I hope to better explain more of what I mean tomorrow.

9/11: Never forget.

Thanks for your patience!

Former Governor of Alaska and the most prominent conservative woman in America, Sarah Palin, once again succeeded in taking her left-wing enemies in the media by surprise. How, you ask? Well, not only did she have the courage to defend Arizona’s tough new immigration law on an appearance earlier today on Fox News, but she even went so far as to say that all other border states should adopt the exact same law.MORE

TrogloPundit wrote an intriguing post over at Right Wing News about unions, collective bargaining and employees’ ability (or right) to individually negotiate with employers. The gist of the matter is this:MORE

Hello everyone.  I’ve created a kind of half-assed work around for the comment system, so it doesn’t appear halfway down the page anymore.  It’s quick and dirty, but hopefully it’ll work until I come up with something that doesn’t rely on absolute positioning.

You may comment away now that you can actually find the form!
