That’s right. Right Across the Atlantic will be conducting its first field blogging event since we opened!
I’ll be attending Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally on August 28th. Though Beck is promoting this as a non-partisan event, I still feel its worth covering, and I know other media will be there. It’s going to be in front of the Lincoln Memorial for gods sake, so how could nobody cover it, right?

Few things make me rage more than disrespect for our troops. So I did get pretty upset when I read this story tonight about the late Gen. John D. Lavelle. Lavelle was made a scapegoat by President Nixon and his administration in 1972 for a bombing run in North Vietnam the was believed, at the time, to be unauthorized. He was demoted to Major General and forced to resign.
Problem is…the bombing run was authorized, and by Nixon himself.| MORE

Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, Senator Lindsey Graham worried that Democrats and some Republicans could form an “unholy alliance” in order to de-fund the War in Afghanistan if there doesn’t not appear to be any significant achievement by next year:
