Hollywood Reporter published a rather fascinating interview with “motivational coach” Anthony Robbins. It’s quite an interesting read. For those who don’t know: Robbins has gotten a reality show on NBC. The first show will be aired July 27. It’s for the first time that Robbins agreed to create such a show; other networks approached him in the past, but he wasn’t happy with the format they suggested.
I’m quite a big fan of Robbins (and a select group of other motivational speakers, thinkers and writers). I’ve used his method to change one’s thinking, and therefore one’s behavior, within minutes, in my own life. And guess what? They work. After smoking for 12 years, and considering myself a terrible addict who tried to quite time and again but who couldn’t, I was able to quit in August of last year, without any hassle at all. I simply transformed the way I thought and felt about smoking, and before I knew it, I was not only smoke free but happy to have broken nicotine’s spell on me.
Not only do Robbins’ strategies work to quit smoking, but I’ve also used them successfully to lose weight (more than 30 kilograms, or 66 pounds) and to significantly increase my income, and to set and accomplish professional goals. Basically, I’ve been revolutionizing my life, with the help of Robbins’ theories,* and I can in all honesty say that they work. And since I’m a very practical person, that’s what matters to me.
I’m looking forward to watching his reality show. It promises to be interesting, stimulating and inspiring.
* Not only with Robbins’ help, though. I’m also a big, big fan of Jim Rohn and, especially, of Jack Canfield (his “Success Principles” is absolutely terrific). If you’d put a gun against my head and force me to choose between Canfield and Robbins and tell you whom influenced me most, I probably couldn’t. Both men understand the human psyche almost perfectly, and their strategies are effective.
