A willingness to support an organization (Hamas) that has openly declared genocidal intentions just in order to "get" Israel (or blindly support Sullivan just because he is also gay) is the very definition of anti-Semitism.

As a proud gay American I support Sullivan unconditionally. I am a proud progressive and ,yes Marxsist and I think Sullivan is heading to the right direction. Yes, Israel needs to be restrained and if we should support Hamas so be it.

I am sorry but I have never been an Andrew Sullivan fan. In fact everything about him screams progressive.

Oh sure he can posture and position himself to be a moderate. He can claim to be a conservative but nothing he writes that I have seen quoted, or that I have read even reminds me of anything but someone who is mad at his own party to the point that he wants to see it punished, damaged and sent into exile.

Andrew Sullivan and his good friend Mathew Y at the Atlantic are the best friends the Democrats and more especially the progressives have ever had.

His mantle of MOderate conservativism is something I have no use for and neither does any other moderate. My fear however is the GOP will simply rest on their laurels of being ANTI Democrat or more specifically Anti OBAMA and regain large numbers of lost seats and think all is well.

All is not well and if the GOP doesnt figure that out in 2012 it will bode well for Obama and his reelection bid and most likely give the Dems big numbers again.
