After I moved into a different home two months ago, it took my provider several weeks to install digital television, which would allow me to watch ESPNAmerica, the only American sports channel airing in Europe. I couldn’t wait: I wanted to see the play-offs in the MLB. I’m a big Yankees fan. Like many others like me, I had this strange feeling that the Yanks would win it all this season.| MORE

I missed this earlier this week, as did most other conservative bloggers, but it seems that MSNBC once again enabled a Palin-basher to spew her hatred of the former Alaska governor on national television.
Tina Brown is founder and editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast website and a convinced Leftist. Needless to say, she also hates Palin’s guts, which automatically makes her one of MSNBC’s all-time favorite bloggers.| MORE

A short teaser. More later, when I have more time. There are several good posts and threads of comments on Man Made Global Warming (AGW for the PC) on the Volokh Conspiracy. Ilya Somin’s recent post, yesterday, entitled “‘Climategate’ and the Social Validation of Knowledge” is worth looking at.| MORE

Is the climate changing, and are we responsible? It is a hotly debated question. However, the lack of readily accessible data, and the reluctance of some of the climate researchers to make all their data and research material available to skeptics has made some of the skeptics suspicious that perhaps the work wasn’t entirely up to generally recognized scientific standards. Now it appears there may be evidence that the skeptics are right.| MORE

I have seen low, but wow this takes the cake. O’Donnell is engaging in a half truth.

And now for the truth..
Sarah Palin opposed the bailouts and has stated so. Sarah Palin was the VICE-presidential candidate which means that if the Presidential candidate takes a position so do you. Anyone who accepts the VP nomination knows this. Palin went back to her own views after the campaign was over.
Joe Biden had some different policy positions than Obama, Biden conformed.| MORE

It’s STILL the economy, and stupid decisions by sixty years of politicians are coming home to roost. California is in economic collapse, and it isn’t pretty. The only way to correct the state of affairs will be painful, and cost everyone some grief, and plenty of cold cash. Economic irresponsibility has been a fine tradition in the Golden State.| MORE

Ever since Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed over a dozen people two weeks ago, a lot of people have spent time investigating what prior evidence existed that would have pointed to Hasan’s status as a radical. Some of it, like the revelation of an FBI investigation into some postings he made on an Internet forum six months ago, his presentation of religious material at a seminar meant for medical lessons, his apparent attempted contact of Al-Qaeda, are all great and valid evidence.| MORE

Meant to post about this the other day, but now an update is here, so all is good. The report on the cancellation is here. Basically, Nigel Coleman, a tea party organizer based in Virginia, had planned a bonfire in which he would burn Speak of the House Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Tom Perriello in effigy. For those unaware of what this means, since its historical significance is of British origin, see Wikipedia’s article on Guy Fawkes Night.>| MORE

The other day I wrote an article about Sarah Palin’s apparently toying with the idea earlier this year to file suit against blogger Andrew Sullivan for libel. In a sort of follow-up to that article, today I noticed a peculiarity with Palin: she has a penchant for changing her stories.| MORE

President Obama’s health care bill has been getting the majority of coverage for the last couple of months. It may not only be in trouble politically, but it is increasingly obvious that it is not going to reduce expenditures, and will probably increase the deficit. But the health care bill is small change compared to the other big bill pushed through by the Democratic party faithful. Last summer, all eyes were on the Waxman-Markey bill, which promised to end climate change.| MORE
