The he ^^ Obama has changed ANYTHING other than give the delusion that Europe can have control over international policies while not putting in a dime or soldier in defense. The is some feel good nonsense that helps no one

* Iraq WILL have a nuclear weapon to use
* North Korea WILL continue to oppress its people
* There will STILL be war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Central Asia
* Unemployment WILL be at 10+% by the end of the year
* Israel WILL have to continue to defend itself against Palestine

Anyone who believes Obama will change anything is in some serious denial. This award is a joke. Heck even his own Administration thought they were being punked

Along a similar vein, another laureate, President Shimon Peres of Israel, sent a letter to President Obama on Friday morning, saying: “Very few leaders if at all were able to change the mood of the entire world in such a short while with such a profound impact. You provided the entire humanity with fresh hope, with intellectual determination, and a feeling that there is a lord in heaven and believers on earth.”

Mr. Peres, who won the peace prize with Yitzhak Rabin and Yasir Arafat in 1994 following the Oslo Accords, added: “Under your leadership, peace became a real and original agenda. And from Jerusalem, I am sure all the bells of engagement and understanding will ring again. You gave us a license to dream and act in a noble direction.”

In his 1895 will, Alfred Nobel stipulated that the peace prize should go “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses.”

President Obama, in less than a year in office, transformed the way we look at ourselves and the world we live in. He has shown a great deal of commitment to diplomacy, mutual respect and understanding. He emphasized the importance of dialogue as a means of solving conflicts. This is an award for the promise of “hope for world peace”. I applaud Mr. President for his actions towards spreading peace and I am sure Mr. Nobel would have done the same thing as he indicated in his will…
