Well, earlier I said I would analyze the speech, and I will, at least as best I can.

Basically, I have to go with those who say we didn’t see much new tonight.  While I was happy to see Obama agree to look into tort reform, his speech tonight had little else that was new.  If there were two things I really wanted to see it was: 1) A drop of the public option and 2) A drop of the mandate.MORE

I will be Twittering throughout the speech, and will be back with an analysis after it.  My tweets will be thoughts on what he says, not a transcript, so get to your TVs!

Stay tuned…

Consider this definite proof that the Palestinian people aren’t merely uneducated and uncivilized but also anti-Semitic:

Palestinian Authority Arabs have made a variety of accusations against Israel over the years, from distributing bubble gum that corrupts Muslim youth to attacking with trained pigs.MORE

With Van Jones out of the White House, that particular scandal is over.  As an American who accepts that 9/11 was caused by a group of radical Muslims led by Osama bin Laden, and those people alone, the thought of having someone in the White House who held those views certainly gave me pause.MORE

The transcript for President Obama’s address to the nation’s school children has been released as promised.  It is a fine speech and one worthy of the office Mr. Obama holds.  Although I oppose virtually everything that this president has tried to achieve thus far in his tenure, I hope that he is successful at inspiring the children who hear him speak to embrace the challenges and reap the rewards of education.MORE

Van Jones, President Obama’s environmental adviser, resigned, claiming to be the victim of a smear campaign orchestrated by the political right. Calls for Mr. Jones to step down have increased over the past month. The past week a number of influential Republican political leaders have called for Jones to step down.MORE

President Obama’s upcoming school speech has created another political backlash against the White House. Parents are considering keeping their kids at home next Tuesday when Obama addresses children across America, while school districts in six states will refrain from showing the address. One of the main reasons for this most recent backlash is that a large and growing segment of the American public simply does not trust the Obama administration and the Moveon “progressive” movement with which he is affiliated.MORE

As far as I am concerned, Van Jones – Obama’s communist green jobs czar – is a typical example of a member of the Obama administration.

He is a radical lefty. He is extremely ‘race concious,’ believing that America is a racist country. He is also a Truther.

In other words, he’s a great example of the average member of the Obama administration.

Of course, he apologized, but nobody’s falling for that.MORE
