It may come as no surprise to anyone with half a brain that Whoopi Goldberg and other Hollywood ‘stars’ defend Roman Polanski and demand his immediate release, but I bet that most did not think the Obama administration shares Hollywood’s view on statutory rape.

Well, they do:

There is no other way to look at Barack Obama’s appointment of Kevin Jennings, the President’s “safe schools czar” who, the Washington Times reports unapologetically encouraged a homosexual relationship between a fifteen year old boy and much older man who, the boy reported to Jennings, picked the boy up in a bus station bathroom and promptly took the boy home.

Considering Jennings wrote about this in his one and only published book and spoke about this prior to his appointment, we can only assume the Obama administration knew about it and has no problem with it.

Although Jennings and his apologists say he did not know the boy was underage, a new audiotape has Jennings bragging about the affair, saying how he told the boy to wear a condom, etc.

Read my entire post at Hot Air.

  1. Orson Buggeigh Ugh. But not surprising. Dropping public campaign funding, Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, ACORN and Van Jones. The list just keeps going on. The elites in the State Run Media keep studiously ignoring things that would have had them screaming at the top of their lungs had it been a moderate Republican like John McCain, let alone a conservative doing them. Question to my friends who voted for Obama or did not voted because they felt McCain wasn't conservative enough: Do you think the moral tone and competence of the government is better or worse than it would have been under Senator McCain? While you are contemplating the moral filth that passes for 'the most open and competent government,' have you tried comparing the first nine months of the Obama administration to the entire eight years of the previous administration? Are you better off now than you were a year ago?

That is far from an honest characterization of the contents of the audio recording. The audio can be heard here. The incident is discussed about a minute in. He clearly states that he was a 24 year old closeted teacher and was taken aback by the situation and confused about how to deal with the fact that this boy had confided to him that he had gone home with someone he met at a bus station. A friend of his had recently died of AIDS so his initial response was to ask if he had used a condom. The boy replied no because he felt that his life was not worth saving. That response was the point of the story. Jennings did not 'encourage' the boy to continue finding sex with older men in any setting. To say that this audio tape confirms this is either due to ignorance (did you listen to it?) or dishonesty.
