In my latest post for David Horowitz’s NewsRealblog, I take David Frum to task for criticizing Glenn Beck and other powerful conservative voices and attempting to “redefine conservatism.”

Frum is the founder of the New Majority – a website dedicated to bringing back conservative majorities in Congress.

That’s a great goal, of course, but I’m afraid Frum’s strategy to get there is counterproductive:MORE

At my IUSB Vision site we have a category called “Palin Truth Squad“. You can see that we reported that the McCain campaign communications machine became more incompetent after the Palin announcement. It seems that Palin’s book is going to give us at least some of the details.

Later we reported that many of the McCain staffers were “David Frum” types like Steve Schmidt, that had previously overtly slandered religious conservatives and others in the Reagan wing of the party (LINK).MORE

Conservative intellectual Thomas Sowell explains that the popular belief that Obama and his top advisers are such a “brainy bunch” may not be such a good thing after all:

It was, after all, Franklin D. Roosevelt’s brilliant “brains trust” advisers whose policies are now increasingly recognized as having prolonged the Great Depression of the 1930s, while claiming credit for ending it.MORE

Definite proof that Britain’s Gordon Brown is living in Lala-Land:

In a BBC Radio Four interview at the Labour conference in Brighton, the Prime Minister accepted that the Conservatives are the clear favourites to win the general election next year, but insisted he can still win over the “mainstream middle” of Britain.

Admitting the odds are against him and his party, he said:MORE

You’ve got to be kidding me:

Western powers all appeared to be on the same page.

Behind their show of unity about Iran’s clandestine efforts to manufacture nuclear fuel, however, is a continuing debate among American, European and Israeli spies about a separate component of Iran’s nuclear program: its clandestine efforts to design a nuclear warhead.MORE

Say it ain’t so!

An advertisement showing a woman bound with rope and exposing her thighs has been banned by the industry watchdog.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said the image used by tile company Bisazza implied sexual violence “had taken place or was about to”.MORE

Uh, this is kinda troubling:

A bone fragment believed to be part of Adolf Hitler’s skull has been revealed as being that of an unidentified woman, US scientists have said.
The section of bone – marked with a bullet hole – was used to support the theory that Hitler shot himself.
Russian scientists said the skull piece was found alongside Hitler’s jawbone and had put it on display in Moscow.
But US scientists said DNA tests revealed it actually belonged to a woman aged between 20 and 40.MORE

It may come as no surprise to anyone with half a brain that Whoopi Goldberg and other Hollywood ‘stars’ defend Roman Polanski and demand his immediate release, but I bet that most did not think the Obama administration shares Hollywood’s view on statutory rape.

Well, they do:MORE

The list of a hundred film people who are defending director Roman Polanski is what you might expect. A cross section of morally bankrupt people in the entertainment industry. One might suspect many of them, like Woody Allen, or Terry Gilliam, are thinking about the behavior of people at some of the parties they have attended, and hoping no one will tell about some of the less lovely exploits that go on at hard partying entertainers’ bashes.MORE

I wrote another posts for David Horowitz’s NewsReal blog yesterday about “Morning Joe” – the show I’m keeping an eye on for this extremely innovative and important blog, ran daily by John Perazzo and David Swindle.

The title of my post: “Morning Joe Pimps Michael Moore’s New Propaganda.” Excerpt:

Just before the weekend, MSNBC’s Courtney Hazlett pimped Michael Moore’s new movie “Capitalism: A Love Story” on Morning Joe.MORE
