dick cheneyDick Cheney, who became one of the least popular vice presidents in practically no time, offers some advice to fellow Republicans: don’t moderate!

Thanks for the tip, Dick! I’m sure everybody appreciates it. After all, it is not as if you and your boss for eight years precided over a tremendous expansion of government, based on ‘compassionate conservatism,’ is it? And it is also certainly not the case that you and Bush double handedly (heh) brought the GOP down completely, resulting in massive electoral defeats in 2006 and 2008. Right?

Does anybody still listen to this man? Or is he quickly turning into some kind of Darth Vader Clown? Or one of the old muppets who always nag that the show is terrible, that this and that person sucks, etc.?

How about the Republican Party focusing on becoming a majority party once again? The only way to do so is to nominate moderate candidates in moderate states and, therefore, by completely ignoring Cheney’s ‘advice.’

Bye Dick, don’t let the door hit you on your way out (of the spotlight).

c3 Funny, when he was VEEP he kept so quiet. Maybe eight years of hiding out has lead to ?months ?years of him speaking out. If true then there is a silver lining in all this: once Joe Biden is out of office we won't hear from him again!

Moderate Republican Any Republican with an ounce of common sense must roll their eyes at this new piece of “advice” from the former Vice-President. This “RINO-hunting” mindset has been the reason why the GOP is losing more and more voters as those who refuse to adhere to a strict social agenda refuse to stay in a Party that only seems to want them when they need money or votes. Surely the Vice President is able to see more and more Republican losses. Attempting to trash a military hero such as Colin Powell- and give Rush Limbaugh favor over General Powell- will do nothing to help our Party reputation of that of old white men. I hope current Republican leaders counter Mr. Cheney’s argument so that the public can see that the Party is changing for the better.
