o noes!North Korea warned the United Nations on Wednesday that it would conduct a second nuclear test and to launch another ballistic missile unless the UN would “apologize” for its condemnation of the North’s recent rocket launch.

“Unless the UN Security Council offers an apology immediately, we will be forced to take additional self-defence measures to protect the highest interests of our republic,” a foreign ministry spokesman said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

“They will include a nuclear test and ballistic missile tests,” the spokesman said.

Oh no! Not another one!

Pyongyang is like a spoiled little child begging for attention – negative or positive. Kim Jong-Il is a kind of Dr. Evil – although he is evil, you just can’t take him serious.

We know North Korea has nuclear weapons. We also know it has new rockets that can, at the very least, reach Japan – if they improve the material a bit, they should be able to hit the U.S. We all know that. More tests are reasonably useless.

What is more, North Korea’s tests have traditionally been epic failures. Again one is reminded of Dr. Evil: the good man creates Evil Plans every other day, but never succeeds in carrying them out.

Go ahead, I say, launch another rocket and conduct another nuclear test. Nobody cares.
