Glenn Beck, Popular Mechanics Debunk “FEMA Concentration Camp” Video

For several years, a piece of video has been floating around the Internet, claiming to have exclusive pictures of a FEMA concentration camp. It gotten the conspiracy theorists, on the left and right alike, all in a flutter. Depending on who you ask, either former President George W. Bush or current President Barack Obama, was going to lock us all up someday. Luckily, Glenn Beck and Popular Mechanics is on the case.
Something tells me this won’t be enough for either the far-left or far-right.

This “debunking” was a joke. They didn’t even mention the inward leaning barbed wires. This piece was supposed to show that conspiracy theorists are nuts. It was a very lame attempt. Hey, they only repair trains over there, what’s wrong with that?

I live by Indiana and have been to the Beech Grove train depot…..I have seen it with my own eyes…..
How is that lame…I mean, I guess they can have prisoners there during the night and hurry up and put trains in there the next day…but I doubt that would happen.
You can go and look for yourself…don’t trust me, don’t trust Glenn…all you can trust is yourself….that’s why I went and to be honest, I was kind of pissed stupid conspiracy theorists got the best of me…..
Don’t trust me, don’t trust your government, you should live by that, trust yourself ONLY…if you believe this is really going on, go there, record the people there…..or the trains…like I did.
Lame? I think not, just a lot of misinformed people who will not go and check out these “camps” themselves

I’ve been enjoying a good chuckle at the “concentration camp” rumors since the early 1990s. It is interesting how the conspiracy theories themselves remain identical, only the names of the Evil Men In Power Who Are Plotting To Imprison Us All have to be changed every few years to update for party and presidency switches.
Here’s my current favorite:
The camps all have railroad facilities as well as roads leading to and from the detention facilities. Many also have an airport nearby. The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people.
So, this particular concpiracy theory requires us only to believe that the federal government has constructed a camp in Alaska for the purpose of providing forced mental health services to 5 times the population of that entire state.
Then again, I might myself be part of the plot and not even know it! IIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

To rage2505: Did you take a tour of the facility inside or did just go to the fence and look in? Some people are able to put two and two together and some people won’t believe it until it’s obvious. By then, it’s too late.

As a Glen Beck fan and one time supporter, it saddens me to know that prior to Glen even going on air with his “Debunking” by what can only be described as the heart of “yellow journalism,” he himself was debunked by Alex Jones. Alex described exactly how Glen would debunk it and what he would show. Alex was absolutely right. This made me cringe since I have been a fan for years of Glen. Alex also before Glen’s 4/6 “debunking” layed out exactly all the documents and facts showing that they have set up camps to be used in case of an emergency. It’s had to debunk official government documents, but Glen and his “Popular Mechanics” guys stayed away from any of this. Instead they concentrated on the false photos posted on the internet by a “nut” which has nothing at all to do with the truth. My only question is “WHY GLEN COULDN’T YOU COVER THE TRUTH” instead of letting the idiots at Popular Mechanics pull out the same “crap” journalism that Hearst Publishing has been doing since the 1890’s?

Having James Miegs debunk FEMA camps is like having Hitler debunk gas chambers. Glenn Beck has proven himself a low life.
