One of the most successful (and loved and hated) conservatives of all-time, Newt Gingrich, stepped into the spotlight once again by presenting a conservative alternative to Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The president signed the ‘porkulus bill,’ as conservative bloggers quickly dubbed it, into law yesterday.

Gingrich’s plan is based on conservative values and supplyside economics.MORE

As Michael Merrit wrote recently, fellow Muslims who wish to improve Islam’s image in the West are wise to refrain from beheading their wife.

It’s something Muzzammil Hassan doesn’t understand. He was recently arrested; police suspected him of killing his beloved wife by beheading her. CNN now reports that the suspicions are correct. Muzzammil has reportedly admitted to interrogators that he beheaded her.

The reason Muzzammil killed his wife, Aasiya Hassan? She filed for divorce earlier this month.MORE

The Wall Street Journal published two good columns about Britain’s refusal to let Dutch Member of Parliament Geert Wilders into the country. The main point of the columns is that Britain sold out to Islamists, which is probably correct. The country in which political liberty as we know it was born, gave up freedom in exchange for artificial social stability.MORE

A conservative student is suing Los Angeles City College over an incident in which a professor refused to let him finish a speech against gay marriage, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The student, Jonathan Lopez, told the Times that the professor, John Matteson, called him a “fascist bastard” and refused to let him finish his speech during a public speaking class last November, weeks after California voters approved Proposition 8 banning gay marriage.MORE

In what can hardly be called a surprise, the British newspaper the Telegraph reports that Israel has launched a coert war against Iran. The goal of the covert operations is to delay the country’s nuclear project. Several important scientists have already been assassinated by Israeli agents, others will face the same fate.

A former CIA officer on Iran told The Daily Telegraph:MORE
