Appearing on Laura Ingraham’s radio show earlier this month, NBC White House correspondent Chuck Todd surprised the popular host by saying he believes President Obama could very well nominate Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for the Supreme Court next time a vacancy comes up.
I know what you’re thinking. “That has to be a joke, right?” Sadly, I’m afraid it is not:
TODD: And not a negative.| MORE

Senator Ben Nelson and his friends (of the leftist MSM) have discovered that the senator from Nebraska may have committed political suicide by voting for ObamaCare. Yahoo! News reports that, according to pollster Scott Rasmussen, Nelson would only receive 30% of the votes if elections were held today, while his (unnamed) Republican competitor could count on 61%. That’s a massive gap of 31%.
It goes to show just how unpopular ObamaCare is.| MORE

The American Spectator is reporting that the Obama administration’s initial response to the security lapses revealed by the underwear bomber is to . . . blame Bush. Rather than focusing all of its resources on rectifying the nation’s transportation security flaws, Obama’s political handlers are diverting precious administrative resources away from the war on terror to take on what they perceive as their real enemies - critics of the administration:>| MORE

This is just sad:
Johnston fought to allow the custody matter to unfold in public, saying in a sworn statement that doing so would help put everyone on best behavior. He noted that Van Flein also represents Sarah Palin.
“I know that public scrutiny will simplify this matter and act as a check against anyone’s need to be overly vindictive, aggressive or malicious, not that Bristol would ever be that way, nor that I would.| MORE

Breitbart reports that President Obama has finally taken responsibility for the security breaches that almost resulted in a terrorist attack on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.
“There was a mix of human and systemic failures that contributed to this potential catastrophic breach of security,” Obama said.
Although it’s great that he seems to be taking the war on muslim extremism seriously – finally! – the question remaining is: who’ll be fired? Heads must roll.

I am vehemently opposed to the Senate health care bill for reasons that I cannot even begin to describe in a brief blog post. Nevertheless, I now find myself in the weird position of defending one aspect of the bill against a ”progressive” critic, New York Times columnist Bob Herbert.
Don’t get me wrong. I heartily welcome Herbert’s opposition to the bill.| MORE

Really? Four days after an attempted terrorist attack by a black Nigerian, Ann Coulter suggests we focus on racial profiling? She has been paying attention to the news, right? I’m not so sure, because if you only listened to Ann Coulter, you might think that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was an Arab, which of course we know he isn’t.| MORE

An Iranian opposition supporter covers his face with his bloodstained hand during clashes with security forces in Tehran on December 27, 2009. At least five, perhaps more, protesters were killed in clashes with security forces on the day of Ashura; one of the most important days of the year to Shia muslims.
Ali Mousavi, Mir-Hossein Mousavi’s nephew, was killed by the regime yesterday, on the day of Ashura, many others were arrested. The protesters refuse to give up, however.| MORE

This is a follow-up to yesterday’s post, called “Obama’s Shame: Revolution Continues in Iran, Sound of Silence from White House.” When I decided to write that, I wanted to use the opportunity to explain why President Obamahasn’t condemned the violence committed by the Mad Mullahs in recent months. Because the post was long enough as it was, however, I didn’t quite get to that.| MORE
