Biden Continues to Play the Race Card

This is truly getting old. Senator Joe Biden, Sen. Barack Obama’s running mate, once again played the race card on Sunday by saying that American voters, and especially ‘independents’ and ‘undecideds’ have a hard time making their mind up because they have a ‘cultural’ problem with voting for an African American.

“Undecided people are having a difficult time just culturally making the change, making the move for the first African American president in the history of the United States of America,” the man who could very well become America’s next vice president said at a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday evening, MSNBC’s Jake Tapper reported.  ”So we need to respond. We need to respond at the moment, immediately, not wait, not hang around, not assume any of this won’t stick,” he said about Republican attacks against Obama, which he labeled “dangerous” and “vicious.”

“You see these vicious attacks on Barack’s character,” Biden said. “I mean, this is dangerous stuff these guys are doing. This stuff is on the edge. It’s on the edge. You know, there’s some folks out there in the community nationwide that aren’t as stable as others. It’s a very small minority. But having these rallies where people are showing up saying, you know, the things they’re saying – I don’t even want to repeat them — it’s not a healthy thing.”

What is truly “not a healthy thing” is the fact that Democrats like Biden continue to play the race card time and again. They are the ones who could very well be setting the U.S. up for a major clash between races, regardless of the outcome of the elections. Biden is playing with fire, and he knows it. If Obama wins, simply because people do not agree with his proposed policies, millions of African Americans may be convinced that it is due to racism instead and they may, encouraged and indoctrinated by Democratic leaders, cause more race-based trouble than the U.S. has seen in decades.

In the meantime, whites who do not support Obama for ideological or even pragmatical (or political, not racial) reasons may have had enough of the ‘racist!’ meme in November, which could very well cause a “not healthy” political environment if Obama wins. 

Democrats, you’re playing with fire. Keep that in mind next time you simply accuse those who haven’t made their minds up of racism.
