I need a John McCain die-hard to come in here and explain something to me.
Why isn’t John McCain red-hot angry at the long association between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers? By all rights, he ought to be.
Ayers was one of the founding members of the Weather Underground, a terrorist group who left the SDS because that group wasn’t radical enough. The Weathermen spent years killing people and blowing up buildings with the express purpose of ending “U.S. Imperialism” of which our war in Vietnam was example Number One. During the Vietnam War, both Ayers and his wife Bernadette Dorhn were given rings made from the wreckage of American warplanes. His gift prompted Ayers to say that, “I realized…America was an evil… and that I was… living inside the belly of the beast…”. Before that, Dorhn “met with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong representatives in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss antiwar strategy on US campuses”.
Where was John McCain while Ayers and his wife were doing everything in their power to help the North Vietnamese?
Well, he was in a prison camp called the Hanoi Hilton, enduring horrific beatings and suffering from dysentery. As Ayers and Dorhn were chanting “HO, HO, HO CHI MINH” and “BRING THE WAR HOME”, their North Vietnamese friends were crippling John McCain so badly that he can barely lift his arms above his shoulders. He can’t use a computer today because doing so causes his extreme pain.
So why isn’t McCain furious at Barack Obama for his cavalier attitude about Bill Ayers’ past? Why hasn’t he confronted the Obamessiah during one of the debates and told him that the people who launched Obama’s career at a cocktail party in Chicago were working hand in hand with the people who tortured him for five and half years?
I am honestly baffled that McCain, today, would say that “No one cares about washed up terrorists”. His blase reaction is completely incomprehensible to me and I honestly need some McCain stalwart to show up here and tell me why he could apparently care less that Barack Obama and Bill Ayers were so tight for so long.
It makes no sense to me at all.
