Singer Janet Jackson was hospitalized on Monday, shortly before she would give a concert in Montreal, Canada. A representative for the famous singer said that she fell ill ‘suddenly.’ No word on what the cause for her illness may be.

Jackson was sound testing when she became ill and was rushed to the hospital immediately.

Janet, the little sister of Michael, has a long and successful career of her own. She came in the news in 2004 when she and Justin Timberlake performed during the Superbowl; Timberlake pulled on her clothes, resulting in one breast being uncovered.

It caused a tremendous shock in the U.S., where nudity is not allowed on television during day time. The two singers insisted that it was an accident, but virtually no one believed them.

The event resulted in live shows being delayed so that if something similar would happen producers could simply choose not to show it. CBS, which broadcasted the event, was given a $550,000 fine.
