At least 16 people have died when a bomb exploded in a hospital in Pakistan. The bombing comes one day after President Pervez Musharraf announced he would resign.

A lot of extremists have found a safe haven in Pakistan in recent years. This goes especially for the former ruling class of Afghanistan, the Taliban, and terrorist organization Al Qaeda.

In the past there was a lot of fighting going on between Hindus and Moslems, both in Pakistan and India. These days, however, the battle is between Moslem extremists and everybody else. ‘Everybody else’ means mostly Moslems, albeit not extremist ones. The majority in Pakistan is Moslem.
