The Times-Herald reports that there is finally some good news about gas prices: because the US Dollar strengthening against the Euro. That’s good news, because the stronger the Dollar becomes, the more the price of oil falls. (more…)

An important Indian Muslim seminary, which some say inspired the Taliban, has issued a fatwa against terrorism. In the fatwa, the seminary condemns all kinds of Islamic terrorism arguing that terrorism is in breach Islam, which teaches tolerance and peace. (more…)

I don’t quite understand why everyone is writing about how arrogant Barack Obama is for it’s not exactly surprising that he is. If you run for US president you automatically think quite highly of yourself. Saying “I’m the best man to lead this nation” is self-congratulatory and arrogant to the extreme. So yes, Obama is arrogant. So yes, Obama loves himself. So yes, he loves himself so much it’s sickening. But so do all the others. Literally every single one of them.

As a man who believes that children get away with way too much these days, I’ve got to pay my respects to the mother in the video below; she decided to punish her son publicly after he had robbed a fellow student. The two had gotten into an argument with each other, after which he – the son – decided to steal the other student’s iPod. Well, mama ain’t got no patience for that sort of thing. (more…)

Larry Johnson admits that he still hasn’t watched the video he and others have been talking about for days already, but that he believes it’s “stunning” nonetheless. The Boston Globe published an article, basically praising the Worcester School for naming Taner Akçam, a Turk living in Western countries for decades already, as chairman of Armenian genocide studies. Akçam is one of the few Turks who say that what happened to the Armenians during World War I constitutes genocide, which is why he’s a hero to Armenian radicals. (more…)

Although the situation in Iraq has improved tremendously in the last year or so due to the surge, not everyone has been able to benefit from it. In fact, the situation has become worse for quite some Iraqis… namely; Jews. Where there were 130,000 Jews living in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, 50 years ago, there are now fewer than 10 left. (more…)

The German newspaper the SPIEGEL reports that ‘a German intelligence agent has been brokering a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hezbollah on behalf of the United Nations. Now an official proposal is on the table, and Jerusalem is due to decide shortly whether to accept it. (more…)

As I have said before, I started going on a diet several months ago, in an attempt to lose the weight I gained after I was diagnosed with a herniated disk and couldn’t exercise for over one year (and not seriously exercise for perhaps two years). Since I’ve lost (more than) 20 kilos by now, I feel it’s time to share a before and after (or before and now) photo. (more…)

From the desk of the office of “surrender to Al Qaeda, Wahabbis and the Taliban ASAP” comes the following, shocking, news: two Christians, trying to convert Muslims to Christianity in Birmingham, Britain, were told by a police officer that they were guilty of committing a hate crime.
