Re. the controversy of the day (Clark on McCain’s military record): Andrew Sullivan – a passionate supporter of Barack Obama indeed – disagrees with Claudia. He beliefs that what Wesley Clark is doing is ‘Clintonesque’ (a tremendous insult for Sullivan) and “repulsive.”

It is, of course.

What’s even more repulsive is that so many bloggers take this stuff serious enough to write about it.

    Kevin H Wesley Clark isn't doing anything that bad. He never calls McCain disloyal or anything like that. Does he have the wrong clip up on the page? seriously I'm confused. The only thing he does is point out that McCain commanded a non-combat squadron, in the context of saying that his military experience doesn't automatically make him a great executive. He also calls McCain a "hero" for his time as a POW. It's perfectly find to critcize blogs or others for statements that are over the line, but why drag Clark into this? It seems to dilute the point.
