    kritter Gonzales is purposely trying to give the committee as little information as possible to protect his boss. One of his worst performances before the Senate was in April, after he had undergone intense coaching for almost a month by White House lawyers. So, the poor preparation argument doesn't fly. I also don't think he would have gotten into Harvard Law School if he had substandard intelligence. He is performing just as Bush wants and expects, which is why he still has so much confidence in him.
